The Georgia Museum of Agriculture is an immersive experience into the agrarian and cultural traditions of the 19th century American South. Take a glimpse into the innovative and storied history of the Wiregrass region of Southern Georgia through hands-on learning experiences and a sweeping landscape of historic sites and artifacts.
Board the Vulcan Steam Train and ride on the narrow gauge rail into the Historic Village! Costumed docents bring late 19th century south Georgia to life within the Museum’s living history Historic Village. Spread out over 96 acres, the Historic Village consists of over 35 historic structures including but not limited to farmhouses, barns, a sawmill, turpentine still, schoolhouse, blacksmith’s shop, and grist mill, to name a few.
ABAC's Georgia Museum of Agriculture and Historic Village opened as the Agrirama on July 1, 1976. The Museum consists of 6 areas: Spinks Exhibit Hall, Cordell Conference Center, Art Gallery, Historic Village, Country Store and Destination Ag.
