Located in the heart of vegetable production on the east coast of Florida, Mirusso Enterprises has an extensive background in farming from upstate New York to Florida. Initially beginning as a developer of improved delivery systems for Telone products, previously Mirusso Enterprises served as an independent contractor for the design, fabrication and testing of more effective delivery systems for Dow AgroSciences. These systems included: Coulter Applicator for deep placement of Telone products both broadcast and in-bed for mulched vegetables, strawberries, floricultural crops as well as turf and non-mulched row crops, such as cotton, peanuts and corn.
Specialized applicators for delivery under existing mulch film in bedded crop.
Fully contained delivery equipment for applications on golf course greens with almost no detectable disturbance to the turf surface.
ISO rate controller dual channel or 2 products. Plugs into the back of ISO compatible tractors. Using the tractors can bus the rate controller appears on tractors guidance or VT terminal. Great system has been well received.
Specialized delivery systems have been developed and assembled for most of the currently available soil fumigants as well as products still in the experimental phase. Because we have worked closely with fumigant manufacturers, we have designed and developed state of the art delivery systems for most fumigants, including specialized minimal disturbance, precision delivery applicators for metam products targeting weeds in raised bed, mulch crops.
John was involved in the development of Telone application systems which are currently in use in the cotton and peanut production. This innovative equipment greatly improved the ease of application and safety to the operator. Improvements over the last several years have incorporated new technology which allow application based on field mapping. Product is only applied to areas of the field that need it reducing cost and environmental impact.
